Man there is a bad smell in this hotel room. It’s not me, or my feet. I have no idea what smells like sulfur.
Today was pretty good. This city is just live Vanpoover, with smaller blocks and more americana. Bfast was nice but expensive. Shopping was nothing special, for a poor man.
We walked for probably 10 miles total today. The blazers game was good: Brandon Roy is the most boring allstar in the nba. Being clever and having a clean jumpshot doesn’t get you blowjobs. Holler at Josh Smith.
Segue on the Ameri-cans: everyone I’ve met so far has said either “you guys have universal healthcare” or “obama was just in canada” - okay sure you’re right, but what part of this is getting me lifted on the good stuff?
Kids got mad at me for wanting to find a taco bell immediately after the game in order to redeem my ticket for the free chalupa we earned when the blazers scored 100+ points. We walked way too far, but it was the best thing I’ve eaten so far this trip. So good we had seconds, no doubt.
The rest of the night was trying to make friends/buy drugs off the worst people we came across. Going to find the black man sitting on a milk crate at 11th/Burnside and asking him if he was Bernie and telling him David sent us was never going to work, but I still put my money and my passport in my sock just in case.
Some people have poor attitudes. I linked us the tickets to the game, and researched the places to eat and drink. If you can’t fill in the blanks without asking me whats next, it’s on you. When I want to skip the tourist trap to go get me a chalupa, I earned the right to do so. Go make your own fun.
We raided the fridge in the fitness centre for complimentary chilled water, had a smoke outside and called it a night. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
