I’m only two episodes deep, but HBO’s Bored to Death is pretty awesome. The cast is great, the dialogue is smart and quick, and the storyline is interesting enough so far.
Ted Danson appears to be attempting a comedic renaissance in the twilight of his career that isn’t completely terrible (less Alec Baldwin on 30 Rock, more Ben Kingsley in The Wackness.)
Olivia Thirlby from Juno and (coincidentally) The Wackness plays Jason Schwartzman’s love interest. Shes kind of a serious babe. Kristen Wiig is pretty enchanting in her cameo too. Zach Galifianakis wears a towel as a cape in at least one scene.
